New accommodation options at XXX Viljandi Folk Music Festival

This year it is possible to choose between the sleeping quarters, camping grounds, comfortable camping, glamping and caravan park to rest and relax from the festival buzz.
The area of luxurious tents aka glam village is located just outside the festival’s entrance, 100 m from the festival area, behind the Viljandi Sports Centre. A five-person big glamping tent has real beds, blankets, sheets and lighting. The order in the glamping area is maintained around the clock and you can charge your phone and get a morning coffee at the reception.

The caravan park, located right in the heart of the town, in the parking lot of Kaalu street, 300 m from the festival area, awaits those coming with a caravan or camper van. The caravan park is in an enclosed area, the order is maintained around the clock and there are toilets, drinking water stations, handwashing facilities, waste collection points and a chemical toilet waste emptying point.

The washing facilities and sauna for glampers and guests staying in the caravan park are available a few hundred metres away at Viljandi Sports Centre. You can take a shower from 9.00–20.00 and the opening hours of the sauna are 9.00–11.00 and 16.00–18.00, on all days of the festival. Payment in cash and by card.
The glam village and caravan park open on Thursday, July 27th at 12.00 and close on Monday, July 31st at 11.00. Tickets for glamping and caravan park are available in pre-sale until July 20th.

If you want a real roof above your head, then book a place in the sleeping quarters of the festival in Viljandi Waldorf School. It is an accommodation created by the volunteer work of the parents. The school will provide you with a sleeping place in one of the classrooms and a mattress. You have to bring a sleeping bag and pillow and you can also bring your own mattress, if you wish. There are also camping spots in the garden of the school.

At the sleeping quarters you can enjoy the classic folk soup, coffee, cakes and sandwiches made by the parents. The shower is free of charge for the guests staying at the sleeping quarters, on a first-come, first-served basis. The booking ends on July 26th at 3 p.m.

Another accommodation provider is Päikesekillu Perekeskus with its cosy and child-friendly rooms and a fenced garden. It has a fully equipped kitchen, shower, washing machine, barbecue area and playroom. Families with children are especially welcome. This accommodation is also available by pre-booking only.

If you want a memorable festival experience then come to the camping ground – the place for the fans of the real festival buzz. The festival campsite is located right in the heart of the town, in the scenic garden of Pauluse kirik (St. Paul's church), 300 m from the festival area. The silent hours start at 23.00, it is forbidden to drink alcohol at the campsite and the order is maintained by the team of the campsite and the security services.

There are toilets, hand washing facilities and a waste collection point at the camping ground. Washing facilities are 150 m away at the Viljandi Sports Centre. The campsite opens on Thursday, July 27th at 12.00 and closes on Monday, July 31st at 10.00

Another popular accommodation option is the comfortable camping that received a warm welcome from the folk fans last year. The comfortable camping package includes a pre-erected two-person tent, mattress, pillows and sleeping bags.

Tickets for the camping ground and comfortable camping are available until July 26th. It is also possible to buy a ticket at the gates of the festival if there are free spots.
