Press Accreditation for Viljandi Folk Music Festival 2026 Is Now Open!

Application deadline: 10 July 2026

We welcome applications from journalists, television and radio professionals, photographers working with media outlets and channels, as well as bloggers and social media content creators planning to provide editorial coverage of the festival. Accreditation is open from 1 June to 10 July 2026.

When reviewing applications, we take into account both previous coverage and the media work planned for this year's festival. Please include the following with your application:

• links to previous coverage;
• a brief outline of your planned coverage for this year's festival (channels, publication dates);
• for bloggers and content creators, information about your audience reach or publication platform.

All applications are assessed on their merits, and the number of accreditations is limited. The festival reserves the right to make selections based on the materials submitted.

Important information:
• Accreditation is personal and non-transferable.
• Your press pass and wristband grant access to all festival concert venues, including concerts at the Traditional Music Center and on the Jaak Johanson Stage at the Sakala Centre.

Applicants whose accreditation is approved will receive further information by email no later than 13 July 2026.

During the festival, a press room is open in the Traditional Music Center Library, located in the basement of the Traditional Music Center. The press room is open from 12.00 to 20.00 during the whole festival. All the questions regarding interviews and other press related topics can be addressed to the press room attendant or the head of press on the spot.
